Katarina graduated from UBC Okanagan with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biochemistry. She went on to obtain a Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. While in Ontario, Katarina became skilled in Pediatric Binocular Vision health and worked at the university’s renowned Low Vision clinic. She would later be rewarded with the Eschenbach Low Vision Student Award.
Katarina’s other professional area of interest is ocular disease. She interned at the Detroit Veterans Affairs Hospital and worked closely with other health professionals to provide high-level ocular care for American veterans. Katarina is a firm proponent of collaborative health care, and continues to attend inter-professional events to enhance professional relations between the health specialties.
In her spare time Katarina enjoys an active lifestyle involving hiking, biking, and climbing. She looks forward to getting to know you and your vision needs.
